On October 7, 2023, the State of Israel awoke to the "Iron Swords" war, during which thousands of Hamas terrorists broke through and infiltrated Israel.

The magnitude of the disaster became clear after a few days: 1,163 citizens, policemen and soldiers were killed and 251 men and women, children and infants, some alive and some deceased were abducted to Gaza and taken down into the tunnels, joining the four Israeli citizens and soldiers who have already been held there for many years.

Since that day, dozens of volunteer organizations have been established in Israel to support war victims, evacuees, the injured, and the families of the abductees.

"The Abductees Families Headquarters" was founded with one sole purpose: to lead the fight for the release and safe return of all the abductees. But a few months later it became clear that there was a need for more then that.

The need to support the returning abductees and their families, helping them reintegrate into the lives they once knew.

The kamim foundation was established by cofounders of the “Hostages Families Forum”, Family members of hostages and volunteers from the fields of philanthropy, alongside with the honorary president of the fund, Mr. Reuven Rivlin, Former 10th  Israeli president.

"kamim" meaning "We Rise”, is a dedicated non-profit foundation supporting and empowering the hostages of October 7th ,or those held in the Gaza Strip prior to that date - returned, captive, or gone and their families – for years to come.

kamim is creating advanced solutions tailored to the families’ needs, Comprehensive psychological counseling and emotional support, Financial assistance and Long-term rehabilitation programs developed in partnership with professional organizations to ease the burden of adjusting to a new reality.
