Iris Cintra (b. 1975) is an Israeli painter born in Jerusalem and currently based in Haifa. With an academic background that combines the structural precision of architecture and the expressive nature of fine arts, Cintra holds an MFA from the University of Haifa (2019) and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Bezalel
Academy of Arts and Design (2003).
Her work delves into the dynamic relationship between physical and mental landscapes, seamlessly merging concrete elements with abstract interpretations. Drawing inspiration from Israel’s diverse terrains, including the Negev, the Judean Desert, and the Carmel Mountains, Cintra creates art that resonates with both local and universal themes.
