Sharon Derhy (b. 1970, Jerusalem) is an Israeli photographer and educator, known for her unique perspective on everyday spaces and intimate environments. She has contributed significantly to the Israeli art scene, both through her photography and her role as a photography lecturer.
Education and Teaching
Sharon Derhy studied photography at Hadassah College in Jerusalem and has been a lecturer in the field since 2004. She has taught at prominent institutions such as Wizo Academic Center, Minshar for Art, and The Garage – Pre-Academic Art Preparatory in Tel Aviv. Derhy also imparts her knowledge to younger generations, teaching photography to 8th-grade students at the Beit Chinuch Reut School (Anthroposophic) in Tel Aviv-Jaffa. She began her teaching career with analog photography, including development and printing, at the Arab-Jewish Community Center in Jaffa.
