Yuval Buchshtab is an Israeli industrial designer who grew up in Kibbutz Nirim. A graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, Yuval’s work is deeply rooted in an organic and adaptive creative process. His practice focuses on collecting raw materials—such as reclaimed wood or found imagery from his surroundings—embracing the inherent uncertainty and evolution that shape each final piece.
Personal Tragedy
Yuval’s work and life are profoundly influenced by personal loss. His older brother, Yagav Buchshtab, was tragically kidnapped and murdered by Hamas while in captivity on October 7th. This devastating event adds a poignant layer of emotion and resilience to Yuval’s artistic journey.
